I met a nice couple from New
Hampshire, Janet and Allan, on the Window trail. We walked the rest of the way together and I was
thoroughly surprised by the drama of the Window view from the actual Window.

The cliff is so high and windy, and there’s another cliff of
similar height a hundred yards beyond, taunting you. Beyond is the desert
floor, endless and so far away. Like a make-believe land.
In the afternoon I took the scenic Ross Maxwell drive out there. Pictures ensued:
