Leaving Ozona proved costly. Used to the previous night’s
speeding I immediately got pulled over and given a citation that I have to call
a judge about. I just hope it’s a fine and not time (!!!!!)
The drive was long and uneventful afterwards, and I didn’t
make it to the park until after 3pm. But what a place! The Chisos just rise out
of the ground like a huge crown, wide and red. Around the campground great red rocks jut up on every side, each dramatic and individual. Sadly right
then a bunch of weather blew in from the South putting a damper on my sunset.

I went to bed in my brand new tent, and woke up
discombobulated when I thought the sun was up: it was the moon straight
overhead. So bright I had to take some pictures. Then went back to sleep.
